Maanav YashroyCo-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, ActImpact Foundation, Canada

Maanav has a career of over 16 years in building innovative social businesses for the base of the pyramid (BoP) Markets. He specializes in creating & scaling up sustainable-impact business models, through leveraging opportunities from low income consumer markets and combining them with astute business strategy and execution. His experience is across services and product categories for example FMCG, food, agriculture inputs, consumer durables, mobile services, automobiles and other socially impactful products.

Maanav has led several innovations in product, marketing, process and driven scale using grassroots entrepreneurship, retail, direct sales and alliances as distribution channels.

Maanav has led the design and scale-up of the globally recognized and awarded businesses – Reuters Market Light (from Thomson Reuters) and eChoupal from ITC. In his last role he was the COO at the MIT based Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab for south Asia.

Maanav holds an MBA in Business Management from MANAGE, India and is a graduate in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, India.


Vinod GuptaCo-Founder, ActImpact Foundation, Canada

Vinod is based out of Toronto and is running his own public accounting practice providing services ranging from business advisory, management consulting, assurance and taxation for small to mid sized companies. He is passionate for achieving financial sustainability and driving efficiencies to allow mission based organizations maximize their impact in the community.

Vinod has an international experience of over 25 years in industry, consulting and public accounting across multiple industries ranging from manufacturing, retail, oil and gas, real estate, sports and entertainment etc. Vinod is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and also completed various certifications in International Financial Reporting Systems, Risk Management and SOX Compliance and Business Valuation and Modelling.

Inherently entrepreneurial, and an expert in driving compliance, financial management and shareholder accountability, Vinod has driven organizational accountability and transparency, while providing strategic leadership, with a deep commitment to creating sustainable value, while maximizing economic value.

Dipti RaniAssistant Manager – Business Development, ActImpact Foundation

Dipti is a development professional with extensive Project Management experience in the domain of education and livelihood. Her previous experience with non-profit includes her leading the Be! Schools Program for Going to School, across 236 schools spread across Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, for a period of 2 years. She has also worked with Nirmana, a non-profit based in New Delhi, as a Project Coordinator- Livelihood. There she was responsible for identifying and organizing training programs for alternative livelihood, for female tribal domestic workers, who had migrated to Delhi, from the underdeveloped areas of Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh and Orrisa. Her professional experience also includes summer internship with Rio Tinto India Pvt. Ltd., where she studied health and literacy status of women in 4 villages of Bunder, Madhya Pradesh, India.

Dipti’s skill sets include, government relations, donor engagement, conducting research, team management, capacity building, project management & documentation across multiple projects. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi, India, and is Telecommunication engineer from the Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India.


Victor Robertazza Development Fellow, ActImpact Foundation

Victor’s professional experiences include work with prominent international humanitarian and development organizations Mercy Corps and World Vision International. His work in Mozambique and Zambia focused on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) trainings and rural baseline surveys. Victor has also conducted research and analyses of community management strategies and water point sustainability. Victor’s academic interests focus on how external aid can support good governance and institution-building within fragile states.

Victor holds a Master’s degree in Global Policy from the School of Policy and International Affairs at the University of Maine. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford with a dual-concentration in Political Science & Environmental Studies.

Sai has more than 16 years of experience in agriculture sector with specific orientation of market models. Contributed to market development of more than 20 dairy cooperatives in central and South India especially in developing business models for viability and sustainability.

Sai Krishna is a fellow from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) with Masters in Agriculture Extension Education. Mr. Krishna has worked in domains of Dairy Development, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Integrated Pest Management etc., He has more than 12 years of experience in the areas of research & publication, management consultancy, advisory and program / project planning and implementation.


Tanya Dargan MahajanManaging Partner, Zariya

Tanya has over 7 years of experience in market based programs for development, spanning WASH, nutrition, reproductive health and maternal and child health. She has conceptualized, designed and implemented research studies and operational programs targeted at leveraging the market eco-system to address socio-economic outcomes. After 5 years of working with PATH, an international public health organization, she co-founded Zariya. Zariya is an advisory services organization that focuses on understanding market gaps and developing sustainable business solutions. The objective is to increase access to low cost and appropriate products and services for low income communities to address key public health problems. For the same, Tanya and her team works with the community to trigger behavior change, develop skills of local entrepreneurs, leverage micro-finance and rural retail and strengthen the local eco-system to deliver lasting solutions. She has worked to deliver solutions for safe water and diarrheal diseases, sanitation, menstrual hygiene, clean cooking and lighting and access to services and nutrition for pregnant and lactating women. Tanya earned her BA in Economics from University of Delhi and a Masters in Business Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, India.

Amit Bhardwaj is Co-founder & CEO at LEVEL A commodities which are Agriculture Knowledge Management Partner company with various International organizations, federal bodies, Industry associations, Agri-input companies, trade houses, financial institutions etc. He has worked on lot of initiatives in the field of Agriculture – ICT i.e. Mobile App for farmers; Crop surveys from Remote Sensing; drone mapping on pest infestation; Agri-Desh Board creations etc. He is also National Convener in Indian Council of Food & Agriculture board; and he was in Working Group on Sugarcane Productivity & Sugar Recovery in the country. He has written lot of research papers on sugarcane crop improvement / statistics in India during his previous assignments. He has professional experience of more than 15 years in the field of agriculture with reputed organizations like Noble Grains; Indian Sugar Mills Association; Mahindra & Mahindra; Monsanto India Limited; Reliance Industries handling various middle and senior management roles. Saransh VaswaniManaging Partner, Saajhaa

Saransh is a computer science graduate from Hans Raj College, Delhi University. He has worked as a Gandhi fellow and was also actively involved with a street theater group. He was a recipient of Echoing Green Fellowship in 2014 and was a part of Forbes India’s 30 under 30 list, 2015. His experiences have helped him develop a comprehensive knowledge base about issues and challenges with the current educational system. At Saajha, he works as a Director and is involved with strategic coordination with Government and other partners.
